Server log files
When you visit the website, the web server processes technically necessary data, for example your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, browser type and operating system. This data is used solely to provide the website and to ensure its stability and security, and it is not combined with other data.
The server log files are automatically deleted after around 14 days.

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we only use your details to handle your enquiry. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is required by law.
Registration and contact requests
Via the registration and contact form on our website, interested individuals and companies can get in touch with us and express their interest in Klar-ID.
In doing so, we process the information you voluntarily provide, in particular your name, company name, email address, selected category and the content of your message.
We use this data exclusively to receive and process your request, to contact you and, where applicable, to discuss the next steps of a possible collaboration or use of Klar-ID.
Submitting the form does not automatically create a user account and does not give rise to any contractual obligation.
Processing takes place in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, processing takes place in particular in order to take pre-contractual measures at your request or on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling contact requests.
We store the data submitted only for as long as is necessary to process the request and for appropriate follow-up communication, or for as long as statutory retention obligations apply.
Data is not passed on to third parties for their own advertising purposes. Where technical service providers are used to operate the website, process forms or handle email communication, processing takes place in accordance with the applicable data protection requirements.

Klar-ID Workshop App
The Klar-ID Workshop App for iOS and Android is intended for employees of workshops that work with Klar-ID. You sign in with the Klar-ID account that your workshop has set up for you. The app contains no advertising, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Account and sign-in
To sign you in, we process your email address and password as well as your affiliation with a workshop, your role and the permissions your workshop has given you. We do not store passwords in plain text, only as a cryptographic hash. To protect against misuse, we briefly record failed sign-in attempts; for this purpose, email address and IP address are stored only as a hash.
Device registration
So that only approved devices have access, your device is registered when you first sign in and must be approved by your workshop management. In doing so, we store:
- an identifier for this app installation
- device name, device model and platform (iOS or Android)
- operating system and app version
- time of registration, approval and last use
- your device's push address, if you allow notifications
Your workshop management can see the registered devices of its employees and can sign out or block a device at any time, for example if it is lost. All sessions on that device then end immediately and the push address is deleted.
Working with orders and customer data
In the app, you work with your workshop's data, for example orders, bikes, work steps, items and details of the workshop's customers. Your workshop is responsible for this data. MOUGG AG processes it on behalf of the workshop as a processor and only in order to provide Klar-ID.
Anything you record or change in the app is logged in the history with your name and the time, so that the work remains traceable for your workshop.
Permissions on your device
The app only requests access on your device when you use a function that needs it. All permissions are voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time in your device settings. Without a permission, only the function concerned is unavailable.
- Notifications: so the app can alert you to news about your work
- Camera: for scanning QR codes and barcodes and for photos, if you use these functions
- Microphone: for voice input, if you use it
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app receives a push address for your device from Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We store this address with your device registration so that notifications can be delivered via the Apple Push Notification Service or via Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging. A notification contains only a short alert. Klar-ID checks again on every access what you are allowed to open afterwards.
Voice input and workshop assistant
Klar-ID offers voice input, which you can use, for example, to dictate completed work. If you use it, your recording is transmitted to OpenAI, converted into text and then processed like typed text. To improve name recognition, the names of customers from your workshop's open orders may be included. Requests you send to the workshop assistant and answers you have read aloud are also transmitted to OpenAI for this purpose.
The assistant cannot do anything that you yourself do not have permission to do. Voice input is voluntary; you can type at any time.
Where the data is stored and who receives it
The app's data is stored on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, on which Klar-ID is operated. Beyond that, we only pass on data to the services mentioned above: to Apple and Google for delivering notifications and to OpenAI for voice input and the workshop assistant.
OpenAI, Apple and Google are based in the USA. Data may therefore also be transferred to the USA. Such transfers take place only within the framework of applicable data protection law.
Download via the App Store and Google Play
The app is offered via Apple's App Store and via Google Play. Apple and Google are themselves responsible for the download, your store account and any reviews; their privacy policies apply to these.
Purpose and legal basis
We process the app's data in order to provide Klar-ID for your workshop, on the basis of the contract between your workshop and MOUGG AG, and in our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation. The app only uses the camera, microphone and notifications if you allow it on your device.
Retention and deletion
We store the data for as long as your workshop account exists or as required by statutory retention obligations. Sessions in the app expire automatically if not used. Devices that have been signed out or blocked can no longer access Klar-ID.
You can request the deletion of your account at any time by email to info@klar-id.com or contact your workshop management. Orders and their history are part of your workshop's records; the workshop is responsible for retaining them.
Your rights
Within the scope of applicable data protection law, you can request information about the personal data we hold about you and request its correction, release or deletion. To do so, please contact info@klar-id.com.
If you are a customer of a workshop, it is best to contact the workshop directly regarding data relating to your orders. We will support the workshop in this.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We will update this privacy policy if the website, the app or the legal requirements change.
