How do you order parts from suppliers without losing track?

With ordering & purchasing you collect parts demand from orders, order per supplier and record goods receipt – also via Veloconnect.

Klar-ID

In short: in Klar-ID you put the parts you need from orders and sales into a cart. The cart is sorted by supplier. You place the order and later record the goods receipt. With participating suppliers this works directly via Veloconnect.

Why purchasing is often confusing

Parts demand arises in many orders at the same time. Every supplier has its own item numbers. In the end it should be clear which delivery belongs to which order. Without a system this quickly turns into a paper chase.

Three steps

  1. Collect demand: you put the parts you need from an order or sale into the cart.
  2. Order: you check the cart per supplier and place the order. With participating suppliers this works directly via Veloconnect.
  3. Receive goods: you record the delivery in goods receipt. Stock and orders are up to date immediately.

Ordering for several orders together

The cart collects the demand from several orders. The link to the individual orders is kept. So you order in bulk and still know which part is for which bike.

You stay in control

An order is always triggered by someone in your team. Nothing is ordered automatically. If a supplier delivers only part of it, the open quantity stays on the original order. Nothing is reordered automatically.

Suppliers and supplier items

You create your suppliers in the settings. You link items with supplier data such as item number and purchase price. In the order status you see open, delivered and partially delivered orders.

What Veloconnect does

Veloconnect is a standard between bike retailers and suppliers. Via Veloconnect 1.4 you query items, prices and availability from participating suppliers and transmit orders. More in the article What is Veloconnect?

All details are on the ordering & purchasing page. What your stock looks like afterwards is explained in the article Stock management.

The open quantity stays on the original order, and nothing is reordered automatically. In the order status the order appears as partially delivered, so you see what is still missing.
